The heart of Cretan gastronomy will beat in Gazi this year as the 11th Cretan Cuisine Festival will take place on August 3rd at Katsamani Square.

At the event that has become an institution over the years, cultural associations from all over Crete will prepare old, beloved, well-known and unknown dishes inspired by the culinary tradition of Crete.

Announcing the holding of the festival, the organizers invite clubs to register their participation, stating: “On Sunday, August 3, 2025, in Gazi Malevizi (Michael Katsamani Square), the Cretan Cuisine Festival Association, with the support of the Region of Crete, the Municipality of Malevizi and the Cultural Associations of Keramoutsi and Gazi, is organizing for the 11th year the annual gathering of clubs, the Cretan Cuisine Festival.

Through the festival, we build bridges of communication and friendship, with respect for our culinary memories, the people who came before, the culture, the land, we highlight and promote folk tradition, the excellent local products, the rare recipes of traditional Cretan cuisine, as well as the folklore customs that accompany them.
